The story behind Summit

A coach at heart.A leader by calling.

Summit began with a simple conviction: people become more when they are known, challenged, encouraged, and surrounded by leaders who genuinely want the best for them.

Where it began

The arena changed. The mission to develop people never did.

Before Summit, Austin Durrett developed his leadership foundation while coaching high school and collegiate basketball. Coaching taught him to recognize potential before it was fully visible, build trust before asking for more, and help individuals see how their choices affected the entire team.

Those lessons followed him beyond the court. Austin saw that adults need many of the same things great teams need: a clear standard, honest mentorship, room to practice, people who notice their progress, and a purpose larger than personal recognition.

Summit grew from that belief. It became a community where faith, family, leadership, entrepreneurship, and personal development could be pursued together—with character remaining at the center.

“Leadership is less about reaching the top—and more about who you help rise along the way.”
Austin Durrett speaking during a Summit leadership presentation
Leadership in motion

Develop the person. Strengthen the team.

Austin’s coaching mindset still shapes the way Summit approaches growth. Leadership is not treated as a title or a single moment of inspiration. It is practiced through consistency, responsibility, communication, service, and the willingness to receive honest feedback.

That approach creates space for people to become more intentional at home, in their faith, in their work, and throughout their communities. Progress matters—but so do the people, values, and relationships that make progress meaningful.

The standard we carry

What leadership means here.

01

Character before recognition.

Who you become and how you treat people matter more than appearances.

02

Family stays at the center.

Healthy ambition should strengthen the relationships closest to you.

03

Mentorship stays personal.

Growth accelerates when people receive perspective from leaders who care.

04

Impact becomes service.

Leadership reaches its highest expression when it helps other people rise.

The story continues

Build something the people beside you can believe in.

Summit is still growing one conversation, one relationship, and one next step at a time. The goal is not achievement alone. It is a life of faith, character, meaningful influence, and shared purpose.

Your next chapter can start with one honest conversation.
